My E-Meter is malfunctioning. The (V) Voltage appears to be normal. The (A) Amperage value always reads 508. Reset the unit and the (A) still reads 508. After reset the (Ah) rest and is now counting like a clock clicking up (.1) every second. Is thther anything else I should look at or is the unit toasted?
It sounds like a wiring issue with the shunt leads. I recommend checking the wiring.
Thank you for the response.. Will check it out and get back to you.

Sorry for the delicate threads just trying to be more explicate.
Downloaded manuals earlier and doing more in depth checking of wiring. Initial checks did not show any problem.

Ok I have checked all the wiring at the shunt and head of the unit removed all connections cleaned, and replaced ends , still same results of (A)reading 508. In that process I did some experimenting. When green and orange removed from shunt (A) reading started oscillating between 41 and 49. Any other suggestions? Also it would be really helpful if we could speak just to make sure I have not missed anything or miss read manual. I can be reached at 508-364-6425.
Thanks

Also after disconnecting green and orange from shunt the reading of (A) was always 41/49 weather they where open or shorted together.
Both at the head or end of the harness
Connect, short, pins 1,2 and 3 (green, orange and black). This should make the meter read 0A. If it does not, then the meter is faulty.
It does seem like a meter issue at this point. I am not sure who repairs them.
